TRIPS TO VENEZUELA: THE DELTA OF THE ORINOCO IN KAYAK

With a surface similar to the one of Galicia and town only by 10,000 inhabitants, the Delta of the Orinoco constitutes one of the greatest deltas of the world, a vegetal universe over waters, territory of the indigenous ethnic group Warao.

This it is a circuit of adventure in a virgin, accessible nature for any person with good health, without needing having previous experience in kayac.

On board boats of a single position, we will penetrate in the narrow sewers of the delta. We will slide on the water under a vegetal vault filled with monkeys, parrots, guacamayos and toucans. Under the conduction of Waraos guides we will learn to know the use typical medicinal plants of the forest.

At night one will fall asleep in hammocks equipped with mosquito nettings and on structures of palafitos to borders of the mangrove swamp.
We will let the plains subject to flooding to raise the coastal mountain range. In the town of Caripe (1000 ms) we will carry out a long walk inside the forest to discover ready for sowing of coffee.

We will finalize the adventure in the coast of the Caribbean one. We will spend one night in the historical town of Cumaná, old hiding place of pirates, to continue towards the National Park of Mochima, magnificent coves and beaches of dream. We will dedicate two days to discover, on board boats, the reefs of chorale that populate this Park, richest of the country.
