The Center of Ski Opening is one of most beautiful, old and famous of the country, with more than 50 years of experience and one excellent tradition in snow sports.

With the call “snow dust” in its 23 tracks, this center offers to its visitors other alternatives in the snow. Heliski and snowboard is ideal for the medical instructor who prefers the adrenalin.
The center not only offers magnificent tracks and beautiful natural surroundings to ski. The Hotel Opening puts at the disposal of the visitor a great variety of services to make its stay more pleasant and comfortable.

The ski center has not changed much through the years. Its rate continues being the same. Nobody rises early, the meals become social events and dinner is delayed. Still there are tails no to raise the tows, nor many people skiing in the snow dust.

There are twelve tows, including five of chair, and the tows It goes ET Vient, designed by Jean Pomagalski in years 60 to allow to the access to the high tracks of the Rock Jack and the Condor, still remains there defying to the experts and offering access to a good snow ski dust to open track and innumerable narrow steps very escarped.

Another great attractiveness of the place is the famous and spectacular Lagoon of the Inca, hidden in the heights of the Mountain range of the $andes. According to the legend, their calm waters color emerald must to a romantic history of love.

Before the Spaniards arrived at these earth, the Incas had extended their dominions until the shores of the Maule river, and as children of the Sun considered themselves, the Andean summits were the ideal scene to realize their rituals and religious ceremonies.

According to account the legend, the Inca Illi Yupanqui was enamored with princess Kora-llé, the most beautiful woman of the empire. They decided to marry and they chose as place of the wedding a located summit to borders of a clear lagoon.

When the nuptial ceremony concluded, Kora-llé had to fulfill the last rite, that consisted of descending by the slope from the steep hill, adorned with its suit and jewels, followed by its retinue. But the way was narrow, slippery stone place setting and surrounded by deep precipices. She was as well as the princess, while she fulfilled the tradition, fell to the emptiness.

Illi Yupanqui, when listening the shouts, threw to run, but when she arrived next to the princess, it was dead. Plenty of sadness, the prince decided that Kora-llé deserved a unique tomb, reason why did that the body of the princess was deposited in the depths of the lagoon.
When princess Kora-llé arrived at the depths surrounded in white linens, the water magically took a color emerald, the color of its eyes.

One says that from that day the Lagoon of the Inca is enchanted. There are even some who assure that in certain nights full moon the soul Illi vague Yupanqui by the quiet surface the lagoon emitting sad moans.


Hill Three Brothers:
The Three Brothers are immortalized in numerous images because they form towards the northeast, after the Lagoon of the Inca, the beautiful basic curtain of the winter center of Opening. This it is a bulk of three summits: the highest top is the North, with 4,751 meters of altitude; immediately towards the south the Central Top (4,595 M.s) and the South Top are yerguen (4,274 ms).

It is a mountain that calls to the andinistas skiers at the beginning of spring, because they can enjoy doubly: of the snow and slopes of the Three Brothers.
