The Made snow-white Huascarán, is located in the White Mountain range, department of Ancash, in Peru, in the central zone of the protected area, well-known like National Park Huascarán, that includes an extension of 340,000 hectares, between heights that vary from the 2,500 ms to 6.768m where temperatures between 22° C are registered and -25° C.
The Snowed one consists of two summits, North (6650m) and the South (6768m), which constitutes the point of greater altitude of the country, and is the lifted tropical summit more of the world. It belongs to the National Park Huascarán from 1975 and was declared Natural Patrimony of the Humanity by UNESCO in 1985.
The Park protects one of the more surprising ecosystems of high mountain of the world: 663 glaciers, 269 Lagos and 41 rivers, as well as numerous mountains, 26 of which they surpass the 6,000 meters of height.
In his interior it finds refuge an abundant one and varied flora and wild fauna, composed by near 800 species of plants and several dozens of animal. One is an important fresh water reserve that it feeds Andean and coastal valleys.
The Park includes the provinces of Huaylas, Yungay, Carhuaz, Huaraz, Recuay, Bolognesi, Pomabamba, Huari, Marshal Luzuriaga and Asuncio'n.
It is, in addition, scene of 33 preincaicos archaeological sites (like Wilcahuaín), and home of dozens of communities farmers who speak quechua and practice technical agriculture and the cattle ranch using traditional.
One of main the attractiveness of the zone is the crystalline water lagoons, reflected of the snowed ones, as also the presence of forests of queñual and diverse animal species, like the Andean condor and the wild cat. Also, they emphasize in the zone very colorful popular celebrations and an exquisite gastronomy.
