Starting off from Arica we will travel towards the locality of Putre. From we will explore the National Park Lauca, created in 1970 and pertaining one to the region of Tarapacá there, in the North end of Chile. It emphasizes the Chungará Lake, one of highest and beautiful of the Chilean plateau, that is the feet of twin volcanos Payachata.
The Park presents/displays a dry climate with diurnal and nocturnal thermal variations very marked. One characterizes by a great wealth in flora and fauna, places of great cultural and historical interest (vestiges of pre-Columbian civilizations and present population of the culture aymara) and places of rustic beauty (unique biological resources). They live more than 130 different species from birds, besides the characteristic vicunas, vizcachas and condors.
We will visit the geoglifos of the valley of Lluta, immense drawings in hills, builds of the pre-Hispanic settlers, also the old towns of Chapiquiña and Zapahuira, the Chungará Lake (to 4,570 TM. of height) and beautiful Payachatas volcanos.
We will continue towards Surire, cradles of flamenco pink and vicunas, visiting in the route the small towns aymaras of Ancuta, Guallatire, Chilcaya and the natural reserve of the Vicunas, with the possibility of taking a relajante thermal bath in Polloquere.
