The Tena corner belongs to the province of Napo. Tena is the cantonal and capital head of the province, where the provincial administration concentrates itself. It is a beautiful city divided by the Tena river.

HISTORY: When the Spaniards founded the cities of Archidona, Avila and Alcala of the Dorado River, the earth were distributed, including the natives who lived there, for their operation and benefit.
